Email marketing is pretty similar to how offline mail marketing is. I'm sure you have received lots of advertisements and brochures about new products or new services which most of you will dismiss it as junk and end up in the bin.
Email marketing is also disseminating information about a new product or service. It is by far the most efficient communication medium on the internet. The plus side of email marketing is that you can choose to send information about your internet business to targeted customers who chooses to receive this information and this is an important difference. And, because those people have already chosen to receive your emails, you can be a lot more confident that they will read your offers and buy from you.
As a form of marketing, email generates high response rates and give you an idea how many people are actually looking into your product and also gives you the ability to follow up with them. As mentioned by Stone Evans Dotcomology ebook, "marketing by email can attract new customers, keep existing ones, up-sell, cross-sell, and cut costs."
Keep in mind that it is never acceptable to send emails to people who haven't requested to receive emails from you. So DON'T SPAM!
How would you want to get people's permission to send you emails?
As there are hundreds of thousands of potential prospects coming online everyday to start an internet business. It is important that you allow customers to "opt-in" to your emails. Most websites do this by allowing people to fill in their emails and their name. This is simple and you don't have to worry if your mail will be treated as spam.
The best way to do this is by the double "opt-in" technique. Users who are interested fill in their details and a confirmation email is then send to the user. Article marketing is great way to get loads of targeted traffic to your website. At the end of the day, it is all about building your list. You see, article marketing is a top strategy to generate high responsive subscribers and hence more cash in your pocket. Here I'm going to show you how you too can easily do this.
1. Your free product
Before you can start writing articles you need to give your potential subscribers something for free in exchange for their email address. That is the deal! Go to forums and find out what people are asking about. You can then write a report to solve people's problems or maybe offer them a free newsletter.
2. Squeeze Page
You will need a squeeze page so you can build your list. This is simply a webpage which has an opt-in form so people can enter their name and email address. Nothing complicated just a headline, image, few bullet points and an opt-in form.
Setting up a squeeze page is fairly straight forward. The best way is to use a wysiwyg (What You See Is What You Get) web editor like Kompozer (free download). If you can use a word processor, creating the content for your squeeze page is easy. All you have to do then is upload it to the hosting company you are using.
3. Write your articles
This is the fun part, generating traffic by writing articles to directories like Ezine Articles. The great thing about Ezine Articles is that it has a high page rank with Google. You can put a link to your squeeze page and thus generate traffic to your site.
When you are writing your articles, it will need to have an introduction, body, conclusion and of course a resource box. You just need to put the meat of your topic in the body, few lines for the introduction and conclusion. Your resource box will already be set up. So, that is it, quite straight forward.
Think about the benefits in writing articles, you'll generate massive targeted traffic to build your list. The best part is your articles will keep on working for you.
MLM Marketing maybe exciting to a lot out there seeking an opportunity to earn some money online. But the truth is 97% of people fail and most of them drop out. The important thing to realize about MLM marketing is that there is no such thing as an overnight success guarantee.
As with any other business ventures, there is no get rich quich scheme, there is no instant profits. If you are into this with this mindset, then unfortunately, to put it very bluntly, you are not ready for it.

I have realized a lot of people fail at what ever MLM residual income opportunity they decide to promote. Network marketing is a simple business but it just takes time to grow and understand the basics. If you are not willing to give it time then you will find it hard to succeed not only in network marketing but in any business in general.
Here are some reasons why I notice most people fail at their opportunities.
1. They think it is so easy. Network marketing is not easy but it is simple. There is a difference in the two. You are not going to be able to dominate this industry once you come in no matter who you are or your previous knowledge. Sure you can do better than others but you are going to hit that stumbling block sooner or later, which brings me to my next point.
2. The learning curve. When network marketers hit this point they tend to throw in the towel. When you are starting to promote your business on the internet or which ever the case may be you will have to learn and grow every single day.
Are things always going to go your way? Of course not. We do not live in a perfect world and your network marketing business is not going to grow right away.
3. Another reason why network marketers fail is because they are simply not coachable. This business is all about teamwork. You have to be able to listen, study and teach. If you think you have the answers to everything then network marketing is not for you.
It is also important to note that although you might be able to recruit a number of people into your downline, you must continue to encourage them and help them in this business. New recruits coming in with high hopes will most certainly fall into the same trap of thinking that people will simply join them overnight.
Having thousands of people with the same product or replicated sites to encourage others to join MLM marketing as you are just doesn't make you unique enough or stand out from the rest. To do this you have to come up with a marketing strategy that is unique but also conveying the same message across to potential recruits.

Yesterday, we talked about Affiliate Marketing as one possible way of making money online. The other BIG way for you to make money online or start an internet business is Multilevel Marketing (MLM).
Now what is MLM?
MLM online is basically very similar to some well known business organizations like AMWAY, Herbalife, Cosway, Nefful etc. In a way its also quite similar to Affiliate Marketing.
What you need to do in MLM is find a product to promote. Say for instance company A. Company A has many members. And Company A has many different products to promote or just a few. But whatever it is, their members recruit you to join in to Company A's program.
This means someone else who is already part of Company A and already promoting a product recruits you into their downline.So whoever recruited you becomes their upline.When somebody in their downline sells a product or recruits other people to join their company, they get a commission as well as their upline. What is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate Marketing is basically finding a product or service to promote and in return receive a commission for every successful product or service you sell.

The good thing about marketing a product as an affiliate is that you do not have to produce a product to start making money. All you have to do is to choose a product that you wish to promote and start PROMOTING.
It is essentially a business that anyone can get into.
If you are a beginner to Affiliate Marketing, you might want to ask where do I find products to promote. Well one of the most popular sites on the internet to start off as an affiliate marketer is Clickbank. Clickbank has hundreds of thousands of products in digital format to promote. There are also other websites like Commission Junction, Linkshare etc. But for starters, Clickbank is where you should start off promoting products as an affiliate.
Yesterday we talked about some important features of building a website. And we emphasized on having a FOCUS on your content and if you want to display many products. It is best done on a different page for each of your product that you want to tell your customers. This makes it more UNIQUE and more FOCUSED.
Today, I like to bring us backward a little bit. Now before we can even think of building a website. We have to think of a few things. Where to set it up? How to set it up? etc..
You can either choose to do it for free i.e on Google where they have facilities to allow hosting of your website. You can also try Weebly. Weebly provides you with a free service to build and host your website. They have various templates and a website building facility to design your website however you want it to be.
Most of these pages that you build will end up with say... john.googlepages.com or john.weebly.com. They are hosted on their website and its probably the worst thing to do when you want to get traffic or ppl to come and view your website because by doing this, you are only giving benefit to Google or Weebly and you don't have a dedicated domain for eg: www.john.com which is definitely much better for your website whether or not you want to start a business or just a blog websitein terms of getting traffic and viewers.
GoDaddy, probably one of the most popular service to provide you with a domain of your choice is one of the ways to go. You can choose any domain name you wish with any of the following prefixes .com, .org, .net, .biz, etc
I personally recommend GDI. GDI or Global Domains International allows you to choose a domain of your own, an email and also a hosting service. The difference with other major domain provider is that GDI gives you the ending prefix of .ws for LIFE!
The important to emphasize about building your website is its HEAPS better to have a dedicated domain without using other people's domain to promote your website especially when it comes to doing an internet business.
Setting up your website involves a lot of things, but we will talk about just hosting your account. GDI does provide you with a service to host your account. But it is generally recommended to host your website on a different company than the company managing your domain.
By far one of the best hosting account is Host4Profit. Host4Profit provides 99% uptime and it does provid you with a fantastic support line. Check it out to find out more about their service. They also allow you to setup your own domain but this is entirely your choice to do so.
Ok let's summarize what we talk about today. Basic things we need to have about a website.
1. Choose a domain of your choice.
Don't choose a free service. In the long run, it brings significantly more benefit to your website. And GDI provides you with a very affordable service.
2. Choose a hosting service
Try not to have one service to host and provide a domain for your website. But this is entirely up to you.
This is by far one of the most important steps in making money online.
In fact the first step to creating an online business is through building a website.

Most of us focus on the wrong aspects such as building a flashy website, with lot of animations, flash apps, Java controlled applications etc but with little focus on content or with too much. It is therefore important to have A FOCUS on your website.
Make sure that your website is focused on a primary goal, selling your product or service. Most people design websites with a number of products on their website which distracts your potential customers and sometimes drives them away. If you want to offer different types of products for your website, dedicate a unique page for each instead of trying to sell all of them in one page.
Probably one of the biggest hurdles beginners will face when starting or pursuing and online business is the persistence to continue. Some things that will definitely go through your mind as a beginner would be.. "This is too hard.. " "I can't do this..maybe this is not for me.." "Its too difficult for me.." "I'm not getting any results.. maybe I'm stupid" "I'm not getting results at all.. wonder what's wrong.." and then they quit.

How do you earn

are many reasons why people venture into a home based business. They

easy as it seems. It is pure hard work. If you have seen all the
gimmicks and
testimonials of all those who have been successful, you have to wonder
how they
started. Did they start making thousands of dollars on the first day?
The
answer is a resounding NO.
Once
you have the drive or motivation to start an online home
based business, you need to take action. So many people
are interested in earn
money from home but they fail to take action. Words without action
equates to
nothing. As long as no action is taken, nothing changes.
So many people are “looking outside
the ring” and afraid to enter.
As Stone Evans put it, you must be willing to take the leap! Take
action and
learn from your mistakes. No Internet Marketer in the world became
successful
without making mistakes and learning from it. With every step you take
to
change things or improve you go one step further.
You
may have doubts about whether or not this is a good time to start a
business,
or you may doubt your current level of marketing skill or knowledge or
personal
confidence to start a business. That is only natural and it is good to
be
cautious.
However, you
must also be careful not to let your
self-doubts hold you back from achieving your dreams and aspirations.
Remember
if you have doubts, people who are successful today once had theirs too
but
they took action and they were willing to take steps to change.
Taking
action without having a sense of confidence or faith in what you are
doing does
not help you either in your business. I am talking about believing in
yourself.
If you don’t believe that you can do it, then
you can’t do it. I’m sure you
have heard about the law of attraction.
I
personally
don’t believe everything that’s been said in Rhonda Byrne’s discovery
of “The
Secret”. But essentially, the whole idea of the law of attraction is
you are what
you think. If you think that you are going to fail than you most
certainly will
fail. I won’t go into the details of all the psychology behind this. To
put
this into perspective, if you believe you can succeed in your business,
you will
succeed but remember to take action. Having a strong sense of belief,
taking
action and identifying why you want to start an online home based
business will
certainly keep you in the right direction to earn
money from home.
