Creating a Good Follow Up System

Most of you might wonder what is wrong with your affiliate website. You really wonder why you still cannot earn any money from home. You have spend hours and hours tweaking it, adding new products, adding new reviews, comparing between products and the list goes on and on. Yet, nothing seems to bear fruit and you are on the brink of giving up.

There is a saying that there is only one thing you need to do to ensure success from your website. Fix this and you will see sales after sales coming from your product or your affiliate products. So what exactly sets you apart from the top 1% of all internet marketers online?

Its creating an email follow up system.

What you need to do is to remind your visitors about your products again. Most of the time, people who visit your website have a specific interest in a product, or they already have what they want in mind. Chances are they are really interested in getting your product but they would like to look for other options before making their decision. They could be many reasons. They might be too busy or forgot about it. And your job is to remind them!

In fact every single product you are promoting or selling should have a good follow up system to remind them exactly what they have 'missed' or forget. Remember, people visit your website for a reason. You might already have good traffic coming in with an average conversion to sales rate of about 5/100. And what if about half of all those 'missed' visitors could have been translated into sales? You do not need me to tell you how much that difference could make.

A good follow up system also helps automates your business. Yes, there are 24 hours in a day but of course you don’t have all the time in the world for your home business. You need to have a system to help automate them. Basically having a well written follow up system is like having a mini sales person doing the job for you everyday throughout the year.

Most of the top internet marketers have a list of subscribers and they always start from their list. Every one of their site has an opt in page to allow subscribers or visitors to put in their details. This is the first step in following up with your prospects. Why do they do it? Because the system works and without a doubt having a good follow up system works and it sells.

So work on your follow up emails. Tweak them, make it personal as if you are having a face to face conversation.

Essential tips to Video Marketing

Video marketing is an essential part of internet marketing that many people do not get it right from the very beginning. Most people rush into making videos without thinking about how to make it interesting and to a certain extend entertaining. If you are thinking of giving a good impression to your client, you want to launch into them at many different levels and make sure that it stays long in their memory.

Below are some tricks you can use to ensure success

1. Don't look like a muck shot

When you are making a video about a new product with you in it please look your best. First impressions do make a big difference. Even if they do not understand what you are trying to say, looking well dressed does draws people into your conversation and they will definitely try to get what you are saying. If you want to look like a muck shot, it is either you narrate about the product with your voice in the background or you don't do the video at all.

2. Generate curiosity

A presentation with you in the video can make it monotonous after a while. Create some variations in your videos. For example, unanswered questions or creating expectations halfway through the video does create suspense in your viewers. For example you can hint your viewers with lines like this "I am going to show you a secret that nobody has ever thought of it before.. " Letting your viewers wait until that moment where you finally reveal the answer or a bonus can draw their attention further and make them stay or watch the whole length of your video.

3. A good tone of voice

Remember you are talking to potential clients in your videos. You want to speak clearly and with flow. Develop variations in your tone of voice. If you want to talk faster, do it without a hurried feeling. Doing this and coupled with the right amount of information and the suspense you will definitely draw your viewers to your video presentation.

4. Capture your audience

You have to understand that even with your lips telling what you have to offer. There is also a non-verbal communication element to video marketing. Smile, look into the eyes of the webcam and have a good posture when delivering your video. You will gain confidence through your posture. Looking slumped up does give a different impression to your viewers. If you are having a discussion with another person on the video, make it interactive. Use your creativity to draw your viewers to what you have to say.

If you get most of this right, you will definitely see success. And of course with everything, practice makes perfect. You want to shoot so many videos until it becomes second nature to you.

The Different Types of Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing: Different Types

Affiliate Marketing is classified into many types. All kinds fall under two basic categories. These are pay/click and pay/performance.

Pay/Click

It is also called PPC. It is considered to be the easiest and most popular affiliate marketing method. This is the greatest thing for small websites. With this method the affiliate marketer places the banners and text ads of merchants on his website. The affiliate is paid for every click made on these banners. When any visitor clicks on these banners and visits the merchant website, the affiliate gets credited. It is not essential that the visitor makes a purchase. However, the typical earning for a single click is very small, usually less than one dollar.

Pay/Performance

Pay/performance affiliate marketing, also called PPC, is extremely famous among big affiliates and all types of merchants. In this method the affiliate gets credited only when any visitor from their affiliate id performs the required action. This required action may be a purchase or becoming a member of a merchant website. This method is very good for the merchants because they will only pay when they are paid. For affiliates, it is attractive because they are getting a good share in the sales of merchant products. The usual share is about 15-20% of sale.

If we classify the affiliate marketing on the basis of depth, then it can be divided into 3 classes. These are single-, two-tier and multi-tier programs. Another type is the one in which an affiliate marketer is paid for every sale that is made by a person referred by him. This is called residual income affiliate marketing. Let us study these types in detail.

Affiliate Marketing: 1-Tier, 2-Tier & Multi-Tier

In an affiliate program of single-tier nature, the affiliates get the commission, only, for the visitor’s traffic or sales to the merchant’s website. Pay/performance and pay/click fall under this category.

Talking about Two-tier marketing, the affiliate gets the commission for every action done by the visitors referred by him. Plus he will get the profit whenever some other affiliate, referred by him, gets the commission. So in this way affiliate is earning directly as well as indirectly.

The multi-tier marketing is the same as two-tier marketing. But in this type, the affiliates get the commission for the sales made by their affiliated affiliates in multiple tiers. The depth of this type may be unlimited.

Residual Income Marketing

In this type of marketing, affiliates get the commission for every sale that his referred person makes on the merchant website. The only requirement is that on the first time visit, the person should come from the affiliate link of the affiliate. Next time if the same person visits the merchant website, even without using the affiliate link, the affiliate will be paid for every sale made by the visitor. The question that arises is how the merchant will know the affiliate id. The answer is very simple. On the first visit of the person from the affiliate website, a cookie is created on the computer of the visitor. This cookie stores the affiliate id of the affiliate. This cookie usually expires after 3 months. In some cases it may be longer. Whenever a visitor visits the merchant website, the visitor’s computer is checked for the existence of any previously created cookie. If the cookie is found, the affiliate id is retrieved from it and the affiliate gets credited for any purchase made by the visitor.

Top 10 Reasons to Have an Ezine

1. Establish yourself as a trusted expert. People search online for information and will look to you, as a subject matter expert, to provide it to them. Every week (or whatever schedule works) provides an opportunity to build on this, while reinforcing your brand.

2. Build a relationship with the people on your list. It's common knowledge that people like to buy from people they like. By using ezines to connect with readers in their homes, you can develop a relationship of familiarity and trust. Be sure to share a little about yourself or your company in every issue, whether it is an anecdote, event, or employee spotlight.

3. Keep in touch with prospects and clients. Consideration should be given to eventually developing two ezines: one for prospects and one for clients, as each require different information. This is a great way to notify your readers of weekly specials or upcoming product launches, offer new articles or customer stories, and provide links (or urls) to updated FAQs, blogs and splash pages.

4. Drive traffic to your website or blog. As noted in #3, remember to call attention to new blog posts or other changes to your website with links directly to those pages. Remind readers of your online newsletter archives. Promote special sales (maybe with discount coupon codes only for subscribers) with a link to the sales page. Use links to turn your ezines and newsletters into "silent salespersons"– driving traffic to your website and building your lists around the clock.

5. Build content on your website. Make a habit to adding your ezines and newsletters to your website in an archive area. This serves a several important purposes:

· Visitors can read an issue or two to determine if your ezine will be of interest to them, which could help to increase sign-ups and potential sales.

· If you optimize your article placements, you will not only make your website "meatier", but you'll also bring new traffic from the search engines.

6. Get feedback from your readers. Make it easy for you to stay in touch with prospects and customers and vice versa. Ask them to take action and comment on your articles and offers. Conduct polls and surveys. Start a "Letters to the Editor" column in your ezine. Feedback allows you to fine tune your messages, target your marketing, and expand your product line. It's also great for relationship building!

7. Develop an information product. If you deliver your newsletter once a week and include two articles, at the end of a year you'll have 104 well-researched articles in your portfolio! You might ask. How do you earn money from home? How do you have a successful home based business? There are many reasons why people venture into a home based business. They want to escape from the rat race they hate their 9 to 5 jobs, they hate working in a cubicle 24/7, they hate their bosses or some can only make enough money to survive but have barely enough to spend for anything else.

 Most people want to break out of their boring routine where they will most likely spend the next 30-40 years of their life doing almost the same thing although they might go up their career ladder and become bosses or CEOs one day.

If you are one of these people, chances are you might end up really frustrated, exhausted and you’ll be wondering what you have achieved working in such an environment for three to four decades of your life. Some would choose to continue with this daily routine while some want to try something else that may change the direction of your life which brings us back to the question of what is a home based business?

Basically a home based business does not necessarily mean working online from home to make money. You can have a business without using the internet for example people who are into AMWAY, Herbalife etc can make a living through a business all run from home.

What is essential in running a home based business? For the purpose of this website, let’s focus on a home based business using the internet.

If you want to earn money from home online, you must have the right mindset. As with all businesses, having the right mindset does make a whole lot of difference and this can be exemplified in people who are successful and those who have not make any money online.

What is this right mindset?

The answer to that encompasses a lot of things. But there are a few things you need to be successful.

The first is identifying a reason why you want to have a business at home. What is that single drive that motivates you to do something totally different than all the people around you. Is it curiousity? You are sick of your day to day job in the office? You want a better quality of life? For me I definitely want a better quality of life. I don’t want to be caught up in a mechanical lifestyle where all I do is work and have no time to myself and most importantly to the people I care about, my wife, my family. The important thing to note here is setting up a business online to earn money from home is not as easy as it seems. It is pure hard work. If you have seen all the gimmicks and testimonials of all those who have been successful, you have to wonder how they started. Did they start making thousands of dollars on the first day? The answer is a resounding NO.

Once you have the drive or motivation to start an online home based business, you need to take action. So many people are interested in earn money from home but they fail to take action. Words without action equates to nothing. As long as no action is taken, nothing changes.

So many people are “looking outside the ring” and afraid to enter. As Stone Evans put it, you must be willing to take the leap! Take action and learn from your mistakes. No Internet Marketer in the world became successful without making mistakes and learning from it. With every step you take to change things or improve you go one step further.

You may have doubts about whether or not this is a good time to start a business, or you may doubt your current level of marketing skill or knowledge or personal confidence to start a business. That is only natural and it is good to be cautious. 

However, you must also be careful not to let your self-doubts hold you back from achieving your dreams and aspirations. Remember if you have doubts, people who are successful today once had theirs too but they took action and they were willing to take steps to change.

Taking action without having a sense of confidence or faith in what you are doing does not help you either in your business. I am talking about believing in yourself. If you don’t believe that you can do it, then you can’t do it. I’m sure you have heard about the law of attraction.

I personally don’t believe everything that’s been said in Rhonda Byrne’s discovery of “The Secret”. But essentially, the whole idea of the law of attraction is you are what you think. If you think that you are going to fail than you most certainly will fail. I won’t go into the details of all the psychology behind this. To put this into perspective, if you believe you can succeed in your business, you will succeed but remember to take action. Having a strong sense of belief, taking action and identifying why you want to start an online home based business will certainly keep you in the right direction to earn money from home.
